A J Taylor Ltd completed the design & installation of the electrical services at the prestigious new Chellaram Sports Complex for Clifton College at their sports ground at Abbots Leigh Rd, Bristol.
The new facility provides high quality indoor facilities for multiple activities including basketball, tennis, netball & badminton amongst others, with the facilities provided complying with the Sport England requirements for Premier, Community & Club level competition, along with several other sports to suit the College requirements for day-to-day educational requirements.
The project presented several challenges as all the electrical containment was to be on view, hence innovative solutions were required to ensure the final product provided an aesthetically pleasing, high quality installation.
The inclusion of so many differing sports within one building required the provision of a sophisticated lighting and controls system to allow for the use of a number of different sports with differing lighting requirements at the same time. Working alongside our Lighting Specialist Partner, suitable User Interfaces were derived to allow for easy building operation to provide flexible operation along with energy efficient solutions.
