Tanworth Court is a purpose built dementia care home for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council & leased to PrimeLife. A J Taylor provided the electrical services throughout the building, including LV distribution, general and emergency lighting and specialist services such as CCTV, intruder alarms, access control and a substantial renewables PV installation capable of halving the energy footprint of the building.
Facilities monitor each resident in single en - suite bedrooms to detect if the occupier leaves the bed & automatically brings on a low level nightlight, notifies staff and brings on lighting within the en - suite.
Further dementia friendly facilities include lounge areas with Human Centric lighting controlled via scene plates to provide lighting level & colour change giving the most relaxing atmosphere within the room for the occupiers. A J Taylor liaised closely with the system supplier & SMBC to optimise services and facilities within the cost constraints of the project.
